• Circular Flat Air Bearings The externally pressurized porous carbon LRA series Circular Flat Air Bearings provide frictionless linear or rotary motion in a plane with zero wear. These gap-sensing air bearings allow for reliable, simplified installation and live monitoring of the flying height. All flat air bearings feature a centrally located spherical seat which allows the bearing to become parallel with the mating surface.
• Rectangular Flat Air Bearings Smooth, frictionless planar motion without wear is achieved through the use of the porous carbon LSA series Rectangular Flat Air Bearings. A gap sensing feature included within the bearing allows for efficient and economical real-time monitoring of the bearing load, pressure and air gap. A matching set of accessories permits easy and reliable installation.
• Circular Flat Vacuum Preloaded Air Bearings A vacuum pocket added to the bearing surface of the LRAV series air bearings provides a constant holding force to its mating surface. These flat circular air bearings are useful in simplifying stage or system designs by allowing for a reduction of the number of bearing components. The porous carbon air inlet surface reliably moves loads on a plane while operating without friction or wear.
